What should I feel when I inject?

Most men report very light discomfort. The area has few nerve endings, so pain is typically minimal. 

Where do I inject Trimix?

Inject one inch from the base of the penis, aiming for the 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock position. Avoid veins and rotate injection sites to prevent tissue damage. 

How should I hold the penis while injecting?

Hold the penis fully extended and flat to create a smooth surface with minimal wrinkles. 

What type of needle should I use?

Use a 1/2-inch, 29–30 gauge needle, and insert it at a 90-degree angle to the shaft.

Trimix produces erections generally lasting 1-4 hours

Extended erections can be quite hazardous and dangerous to penis health. Penises need fresh blood flow after a while and TriMix inhibits this. 

What to Expect?

What if I feel strong resistance when pressing the plunger?

Stop. You may have hit the wrong area. Withdraw and try a different site using proper technique.

Can I inject again if the first attempt didn’t work?

No. The first dose will still absorb into the system. Wait until the next day to try again on the opposite side of the penis.

What is the starting dose?

Start with 0.1 ml (10 units) to gauge your response, then adjust as needed under medical guidance.

How long does an erection last?

Typically, 1 to 4 hours depending on dosage and personal response.

How many doses in a 5ml vial?

With an average 0.2 ml dose, a 5ml vial provides approximately 25 doses.

Phenylephrine: Erection Reversal

• Use only when needed (after about 4 hours of sustained erection)
• Not recommended: using Phenylephrine every time just to "knock down" your erection can result in other issues
• Waiting longer than 4 hours may negatively affect your results with Phenylephrine
• Dose yourself with .5 ml (50 units on the syringe),  keep repeating every 5-10 minutes until the erection is lost
• Inject into your penis in the same method as Trimix​

Liquid Phenylephrine is strongly recommended for those with any blood pressure or heart issues

Phenylephrine Reversal

Phenylephrine is a potent vasoconstrictor.  Inject 100-500 mcg <micrograms> (0.1 ml - 0.5 ml) into the penis cavernosa. Repeat every 5-10 minutes and/or up to 1,000 mcg (1 ml) until your erection is gone.

After injection, massage the penis (the corpora cavernosa) to facilitate drug distribution.

Lower volumes should be used in patients with severe cardiovascular disease

Trimix and Sudafed for Erection Reversal

Sudafed and Benadryl can be used to reduce a prolonged erection.  However NOT Recommended for those with any blood pressure or heart issues (use Liquid Phenylephrine)

Memorial Sloan hospital instructs: take 4 (30 mg) tablets of pseudoephedrine HCl (Sudafed) of the "Fast Acting" variety Only, not the "Time Release": via Memorial Sloan https://www.mskcc.org/cancer-care/patient-education/priapism

Keep Refrigerated. It begins to lose its potency after 6-8 weeks.

Storing frozen, membership reports having stored Trimix frozen 6-9 months after which it began to lose potency. 

How you thaw matters. Recommended: Rubbing between your palms and shaking to break up the ice will thaw a vial in about 3-5 minutes without risking excess heat exposure

Thawing & Freezing repeatedly is not recommended. Cycling often between frozen and liquid form may degrade its stability and potency.

Thawing in water is Not Recommended

Other options

1) Putting some pre-measured syringes in the refrigerator and freezing the difference (however the syringe plastic does not freeze well) 

2) Buying sterile vials online and refrigerating some of them and freezing the difference.  

(Also purchasing in larger 10ml vials and then storing, provides for significant quantity discount & shipping savings)

Does the medication lose potency over time even if stored correctly? Yes

• It will Begin to lose its strength after 60-90 days in a refrigerator  
• Frozen it can last for six months (or more) 
• Also cycling between freezing and thawing may degrade its strength

Caution Advisory | Contamination Possibilities

The following indicates contamination of your injectable medication

(Trimix, Quadmix, Bimix, etc...) and Should Not be Used 

• Medication with anything floating in the vial
• Medication that is has discoloration, should be clear

Usage of contaminated medication can be very harmful! Do not use.

Never inject more than once per 24 hours

• Always alternate sides
• Monitor duration closely to avoid priapism
• Store and handle medication responsibly
• Buy only from FDA- or ACHC-accredited U.S. pharmacies

Can I fly with Trimix?

Yes. TSA agents are familiar with medications that require cooling, and injectable medications like Trimix can be transported safely through airport security.

How should I pack Trimix for a flight?

Use a small thermos with ice or a TSA-approved insulin travel container. Make sure the Trimix is already frozen when you leave. Always bring your written prescription and consider laminating or taping it to your cooler or pouch.

What are the best products for traveling with Trimix?

FRIO pouch: No ice or power needed—just soak in water to activate cooling for 1–2 days.

Voyager Insulin Travel Fridge: Electrically powered and TSA-approved for consistent cold storage.

Should I notify TSA agents?

It's not required, but many travelers recommend proactively informing TSA that you're carrying prescription injectable medication. Having your prescription label attached to the syringe or cooler can ease the process.

Is checked baggage okay for Trimix?

It’s possible, but not ideal. If your checked bag is lost or delayed, you'll be without your medication. Most users prefer carrying Trimix in their personal or carry-on bag.

Bottom line?

TSA sees injectables often (like insulin), and as long as your Trimix is packed correctly and you have a valid prescription, you should have no issues at all.

What are signs of contamination?

Do not use Trimix if:

• It appears cloudy or discolored

• You notice floating particles inside the vial

• Contaminated vials can lead to serious infections and should be discarded immediately.

Important safety note: If your needle becomes bent do not straighten and reuse it. A bent needle can break off during injection, which can result in serious injury. Always use a new, sterile needle.

There is always risk to whatever medication you take.

The big ones for Trimix you may already know:

Extended erections: Penises need blood, erections inhibit blood flow. Cut blood flow off long enough and it becomes an issue.  This is THE reason to have reversal medication available (phenylephrine)

Peyronies disease: Tissue hardening, especially at injection sites, can cause curvature over time. Making it a really good idea to alternate injection sites.
